Like all spear spec, you will have difficulties fighting assassins, for they can use spears, thus they will parry your attacks pretty well, and kotegaeshi will screw you.
Another obvious weakness is fire vuln.
Extra claws attacks are very nice though and impale rocks. This spec is dex based as fas as I know, so you will probably do well with your spec skills.
And, yes, you will spend more time practicing because of the low int.
