What race makes the best Assassin? (text):

I've played quite a few Assassins in my day... And I've been playing since CF first went up many years ago... I had the most fun with my Felar assassin that reached rank 43. I came in one day and all my spells were gone, and all new skills were there. Disgusted, I deleted. Felars take a hell of a long time to practice, but their claws and heartiness make it somewhat worth while. I like Drow Assassins, too, because they learn quickly and are quite dextrous.

What's your opinion? What race makes the best Assassin, why? At low ranks definitely? At high ranks? At HERO?
