To begin, I have to say that I am flattered by the compliments on my story, and doubly flattered to find out that he Thror thought highly of me. I doubt very sincerely that this char would have been very interesting to me or to anyone else without the interactions I had with Thror. I may have ended up deleting or being one of the Ragers who simply sat around and did nothing. Because of his involvement, though, I did strive to make something of this character and I think I may have somewhat succeeded.
Now, for the flames and complaints posted soon after his original post... I interacted with Thror with this char who was a Rager but I had several interactions with him with characters who could have been considered enemies. I never thought him unfair or overpowered, even with those characters whom I had to fight him with. Why anyone would think that Thror did a bad job leading the Village as either a mortal or an immortal is beyond me. His r-p is excellent and he has pushed several Villagers into being more than just mindless killers. If those of you who have complaints about his handling of the Village had been around on the several occasions where he found it necessary to punish someone, you would know Ragers don't just get to run around helter-skelter killing whomever they please. If you are a Rager and doing something like this, you won't be in the Village for too long.
Now, addressing the concerns some people have brought up recently about the Arbiters, all I can say is that I know for certain that Arbiters started the war. And just because someone sits in the Village waiting to defend does not mean it is by that individual's choice. I have been around several times when people have been ordered back to the Village to defend against a *possible* Masters' attack. Why should they react differently to the Arbiters? And, I imagine the Arbiters haven't mentioned flagging Ragers multiple times simply because they were killed by said Rager during a retrieval attempt.
Hmm, I had not intended this to become some sort of Rager defense and so I would ask that if you read this and feel the need to flame or criticize, that you do so in a different thread. This post was supposed to be my thanks to Thror for his kind words about me and for his addition to the ending of my story. Thank you, Thror, I very much enjoyed my time in Thera because of you.
