Unfortunately, I imagine the resolution is a necessity (banned sites, trouble sites, etc) for the Immortals.

I mentioned logging issues because I have my own MUD, in development for 3 years, begun from scratch (not using Diku or whatever and just customizing it) and I saw how much logging features really influenced the lag. With the information I have that's what I can think of because the MUD was crashing a lot, and the best way to find out how is to log everything and look for similarities when it crashes. It could even be logging every time someone casts a spell, uses a skill, or whatever. Then they can see if a particular skill/spell is causing the problem.

A new spell or skill wouldn't cause lag... A spell or skill can only really do a few things... Either work correctly, work incorrectly, or crash the system. Otherwise, unless there is a spell or skill causing a memory leak that is correctly flushed out of the cache, they really can't effect lag too much.

That may certainly be... I've been playing CF since a week or so after it first came up, and shortly after it became popular there was lag experienced like this.. Until they got a better connection. Hmm, I really wonder what it could be.

BTW: Good to see your name around, Harlequin. I doubt you remember me, but I certainly remember travelling/interacting with you.
