Most people probably have their favorites, particularly if they have RL friends to play with and can form a nice combo. My preferences to rocket to hero/nab the good gear, are probably unique to me, since I'm usually solo, and like classes I can get atleast 75% of my ranks alone.
1) A druid, has the least reliance on other classes once they get into the 30's. Empowerment probably won't be an issue, since the other imms would presumably be around to keep an eye on the mud's progress if it restarted.
2) An assassin, although they need alot more practice than I would have time for when powerranking. Well rounded and can take most creatures alone when necessary, which is nice when you don't want to share your loot with others.
3) A Conjurer, need the least amount of practicing to be good, and don't need others to group/get eq at mid/high levels.
None of these would likely be anything I was too proud of, since RP would suffer heavily. I've managed to race a human healer to 51 in under 40 hours, and can say they can be one of the most sought after by others for ranking, but it really sucks when you can't kill anything alone.
But, its all conjecture... the imps have said time and time again that there will never be another pfile purge, its too much of a headache. Forget about any acts of god wiping out pfiles either, there are tons of backups offline.
