So far, I've held three general Wakes, all in the Galadon Graveyard, in which mortals were invited to come along and honor the recently deceased by scattering their ashes, lighting memorial candles, and saying a few words. For those of you who may have been confused by my notes,(as I have been asked), a wake is a kind of funeral, generally a burial - but with all the corpses strewn around the Carrion Fields I found ashes to be a more suitable symbol for a final farewell. These funerals are for player characters, usually limited to honor those of some reknown who have died within the past few months. (The last Wake was so long, I had to cut the honoraries for a few lesser known character out!).

Astillian recently wrote a note on behalf of Proserpina, Amaranthe's handmaiden and a priestess of death who shall be commencing over the next wake, which, Thera wiling, will be held this Friday, 19:00 game time (someone can correct me if I'm wrong). Proserpina is receiving immortal support for the event, so if you'd best let her know prior to the event if you'd like a special friend (or enemy) remembered.

As for recording the names of the fallen in the Galadon Graveyard, this is something that has been brought up and is a possibility. I personally keep an urn full of the ashes of everyone honored at the Wakes, and if I'm ever involved in a project of that nature, those names will be among the first I consider, anyways.

For character legacies in general, you can always submit biographies or autobiogrpahies to the lyceum via lyceum@carrionfields.org. To those who have submitted via e-mail, I apologize for not getting around to updating the lyceum recently, but it's on my list of things to do. To those who have submitted lyceum entries via notes only, I suggest resubmitting via e-mail if you want it be considered for the next update, as my notes frequently expire before it occurs to me to save them.
