there was mention that you had argued with another that while you were in x circle of hell you got x item, and the only one that had the one item in existance like it was on a certain lich-pet invoker. You said they said you used ooc knowledge to find out it was in, and later your conjuror was slept by a ter angreal in arkham, and you found yourself dead after being shoved into your archon i believe it was. any more questions? n/t:

> About "what item was in which circle of hell," what the hell are you smoking? I've never said anything of the sort unless I was making a bad joke (did I say something about the item giving the wielder trans and slay on command?). As the owner of #carrionfields, I keep basically the same rules as Dioxide's Forum. Anyone who talks about quests and wand locations and so forth is kicked and then banned from the channel if they persist. This is a rule I've enforced.

That's not my responsibility as there's nothing I can do do to prevent it, and frankly, it's not the responsibility of the medium either. IRC offers no "cheating advantage" that ICQ or e-mail or the telephone or a campus lab don't. If anything, the fact that it's high-profile makes it LESS conducive to such behavior. The imms know precisely who frequents IRC and as a result watch certain people, myself included, as if they're same-site buddies a la SMUG.
