I haven't berated the IMMs/IMPs of CF because I know how this whole scene goes. I've beta tested games, created games to be beta tested and coded a MUD from scratch, etc.. So I know how nerve-racking it is. The IMMs/IMPs of CF are intelligent and innovative and add onto the land of Thera things that will be copied by other MUDs.
"Often imitated, never duplicated." is the phrase that comes to mind when I need to describe CF to someone that I want to get addicted. *grin*
So... thank you! Your work is never unappreciated by this dude.
Besides, Happy Sunshine, any good administration (like the CF one) is unwavered by the public's rantings. They realize that some of the players are 13 year old prepubescent kids and so they try not to take insults to heart. After awhile, though, it does get kind of taxing. From what I've seen in this forum specifically there seems to be a 'healthy balance' of rants and praise.
What makes it all worth while is that the praise are eloquently composed, the rants are full of bad grammar and spelling errors that just make you laugh.
I implore you all... Next time someone rants about CF, don't reply to it saying how good the game is and how great the IMMs are.. reply to it pointing out all of their errors, tutoring them in the ways of the English language. Not only will that help the people become more literate, but it'll give people something to laugh at, especially the IMMs, so that we all forget the stupid person's rant.
