I wish I could give you some immortal assurance of what's going on, but I can't. As far as I can tell (without having access to a lot of the sysadmin stuff on the box) this isn't a mud problem. I've noticed that using different methods of trying to connect from the same machine can either get me in or not (man, I forgot how much I despise raw telnet). And, if I make it to the mud, I have no lag (or just minor occasional lag) whatsoever.

I imagine this is something Jullias is going to have to take a look at.
