Hehe... I'm an asshole. Did I always win, nope. Did I rub anyone's nose in it when I did? Yup, but only when they'd previously talked noise or offered me the oath. I didn't see it as being an asshole really as just showing that the blade can turn in anyone's direction and as for being offered the oath. *laughs uncontrollably* Never would happen.
For one, I have known many who did and aside from one individual who was around just before Istendil anathematized himself and died shortly after Istendil was slain by the huge ass mob of imperials who even then wouldn't attack him until a'lil duergar 'stepped up' and made the move for them, all of them have found the empire too binding. To put it bluntly it chafed their collective willies! So I'll be damned to be a prancy mage if'n I'd ever have joined them.

I do feel that Minalcar's dropping out of the loop and taking his own life was pretty laim. Not because it's inexcusable; but because he was really just adding a whole new dimension to his character and what might have been and how he would interact with others would have been worthwhile to observe and be a part of. As a villager in my eyes Minalcar's heart was never for the village, it was for himself. But his role pretty much states that how he was. (Though it's more telling to pen your role when you're younger and add to it as you go along.) Unless the role wasn't an option when you were younger.

Arbiters should be angry and they should do whatever they feel they must to make things right in their eyes. Everyone should follow their cabals or personal callings without worrying about answering to anyone other than the Imms, higher ups in their cabal, and themselves.

I have been accused of not being around often and I suppose that's true. I had almost decided to take my own life but I enjoy running around carelessly, and my spirit is amidst the lands..just in another form. As for being around alot, I tend to have a few small characters and when I get on a run with one were I enjoy them the others almost always die to auto death from lack of seeing Thera's sun or they appear when I can't really pay attention because I wanna be here but can't put all my interest here. The majority of my other spirts have fallen to deletion, generally because I play so much I invariably end up being stuck around with 5 people raiding and only me to defend and I get disgusted with the rest of my cabal. A few have fallen to old age because I tend to play my favorite character all the time. I get great gear I lose great gear and the cycle continues. But I don't think you should beat a dead horse. Just play and have fun.
