I realized that there is an inherent violation of the rules in CF that nobody can do a damn thing about. That is, someone who has been playing for sometime who rolls a new character has a lot of advantages over someone who just started playing. He knows where things are, WHAT things are, etc, etc.

How? Not because this character has explored, but because the PLAYER has explored. And learned things with other characters.

I can see where your point is valid in the truest roleplaying sense. But this is a flaw with every aspect of gaming, not just mudding. Let me explain. If I have never played chess before and I sit across from someone who has been playing that game for three years what do you think is going to happen? If Five people sit down to play axis and allies and the person playing russia is brand new and the other four play every weekend, what's going to happen? let's take it out of gaming... If I go to buy a car now, after having bought four in my lifetime, and meet the same dealer who is seeing someone who has never heard of leases or apr's or packages to vehicles, who is going to get a better deal? Yeah this stuff may not be fair, but life is not always fair. Take it with a grain of salt and just try to enjoy the game, eh?
