How about, in addition to being able to bind someone's legs and put a blind over them, how about you can gag them?

You can only gag someone sleeping (presumably who you just blackjacked). Gag seems a lot more reasonable then what you're suggesting. Slit sounds like it would lend itself to some sort of minor assassination or bleeding damage.

In conclusion, like you suggested, your idea sucks. Gag sounds better. The end.
