I have to agree, that Gag would be a better skill. Slit sounds like fun, but in order to puncture the voice box (larynx) you would have to slice through over an inch of skin, muscle tissue, cartiledge, and a couple bones, not to mention that the person would bleed to death almost instantaneously from having a major artery and vein severed while you were sawing away at his/her throat in order to get at their larynx to silence them.

Assassin's Tiger strike is much more realistic as the strike force the hyroid bones of the larynx back into the laryngial wall, causing massive swelling and making the person unable to utter any sounds above a whisper.

It is another matter entirely to puncture ones larynx. This is quite easy to do and in fact I personally witnessed it done with a #2 soft graphite pencil. As for slit, that would simply be another backstab/assassinate type skill, and unlikely to be accepted.
