Warriors who gear for nothing else but damage are asking to be crippled by a smart shaman/necro/bard. While damage is important, at the higher ranks you would also want to think about:

1) +Str (losing your weapon will suck)
2) Save vs. spells
3) Save vs. paralysis
4) +Dex (for the elf warrior and the human ranger. The other two probably don't care much.)

Once you are in shaman rot range, you may want to carry some extra +con gear, enough to barely survive and no more.
