First of all, it seems to me that the arbiters are taking advantage of the fact that there technically is a war going on, and no rager-leader there to call it off making all ragers targets for payback.

Secondly they have not been in constant power for 6 months, but you're right about the "good leader" syndrome. It affects every cabal, but ragers doubly so. The reason I believe has to do with the fact that a rager WITH the head is very powerful, while a rager WITHOUT the head is a fucking target. All the other cabals can get along decently without their powers, while ragers without powers tend to die quickly and often.

And this accelerates the swing of the pendulum quite radically because as soon as the rager's begin to go downhill they have the head less and less, and in the end nobody logs on.

Good leaders log on DISPITE this fact, and retrieve the head. And while there's more to being a good rager leader than that, this is a big contributing factor.

Now the reason for the subject is that I take offense to this paragraph:

"A good many rager players tend to be what I affectionately call members of the "Quake/Duke Nukem/Half-Life Generation". They're in it for the powers and the pks that go with it and so if they find themselves losing they go where the power is."
