I went back and read the original posts and I think I was reading more into it than I should have. Maybe I receive too much conspiracy email for my own health.

The post merely stated that the character seemed similar to how an unnamed immortal is also perceived to be, not that Minalcar was receiving any special treatment, etc.

So, I apologize. A guy's gotta be willing to admit when he's wrong, and I was wrong about what was being implied in that post.
