Anything is TECHNICALLY possible. Is it likely? No, it's not. Let's discuss for a moment what is evil and what is good. Evil is not just a red aura, nor is good just a golden aura. These are roleplaying concepts, they are not absolutes, but there are some givens inherent in each one of them. (I'm not going to go into a full list of what they are...but if I've already lost you, don't even think about attmepting an evil paladin.) That being said, let me answer your question two ways...
1) Just because a paladin follows an evil god, does not inherently make the paladin evil...a paladin of Zulghinlour is not instantly an evil paladin.
2) The guild of paladins, and all of thier supplications/skills/mentality is based on being good. What this means is that as an evil paladin, you'd find yourself sorely underpowered, and have your own guild (and probably one or twenty grey-clad Maran Tara'bals hunting you). However, if you were roleplaying well enough to be an evil paladin, perhaps something would be given in compensation note: don't jump at the fact I said perhaps...that's exactly what I meant, it's not a promise, or even a hint of something.
All I can say that is definate about an evil paladin is that it would be one of the hardest roles, and possibly (except for the sheer challenge, and roleplay of it) not nearly as fulfilling as could be. In my own personal opinion (read that again before you respond) I would hate to see an evil paladin in Thera, since it cheapens the whole make up of the class...and isn't believable within the guild. I could put more believability behind a fallen paladin who joined the anti-paladin guild, or an anti-paladin who saw the light (no pun intended) and tried to right his wrongs by seeking paladinhood. Hope this answered your question.
