1) The CF staff has acknowledged that there have been serious ISP problems of late. According to the official page (www.carrionfields.org), they will be moving the MUD to a new ISP shortly. Bad ISPs cause crashes.

2) The CF staff has also acknowledged (../messages/27091.html) that they are in the process of testing major code revisions. This also causes crahes from time to time, and it is the price one pays for the dynamic, constantly improving nature of Thera.

3) I seriously doubt that Riaoz is more dangerous to CF stability than the above two.
