I played a defender, they're not that bad, very easy to level, but at the hero ranks, a warrior defender is just going to die quite a bit.

Domenias I believe was a cloud giant defender who did remarkably well as I remember.

Hands or whips is a must, I prefer hands. Choke and stun to play to your advantage and their disadvantage. Remember time is your friend, not theres. While you can run around bandaging, they have to make sure spells or communes don't drop.

I think it takes a special person whose willing to tough it out and not bitch about his lack of power to play a defender.

Almost as if you were an EMT and that every life within the village depended on you. I'm glad you are considering to take on such a challenging combination, but it won't be easy, far from it. If you really want to play a defender, I'd consider any of the other classes for ragers.
