Do you think Empire's powers among the Sects are unbalanced? (text):

Let's look at the sects and their powers.

Arcane Sect:
LvL 20 - Orderly Mind - Automatic Makes you regenerate mana quicker, an additional trance.
LvL 33 - Volley - Automatic Powers aimed at you to start fights bounce back upon them.
LvL 45 - Evoke - evoke Use a wand/staff/scroll/potion in your inventory without having to hold it.

Those three abilities are highly useful, especially the orderly mind.

Blade Sect:
LvL 19 - Nightfist - nightfist +hit/+dam according to level.
LvL 25 - Shove - shove Forces target to "rescue" you; shoves him into the tanking position for you. They will yell for help, however.
LvL 45 - Imperial Training -
imperial none
imperial offense
imperial defense Offensive or defensive stance in combat. If offensive, you hit more but parry/dodge less. In defensive, vice-versa.

Those three, once again, are highly useful. Nightfist gives you a sort of warcry effect. Shove can be good in battles to confuse people, OR to force someone to flee, if just for a round or two until they get their bearings.

Black Sect:
LvL 18 - Dark Feast - call 'dark feast' corpse Get healed dependent on level of corpse you consume.
LvL 29 - Black Circle - call 'black circle' Draws a black circle on the ground that increases chances of summoning.
LvL 45 - Power of the Damned call 'power of
the damned' Can prevent the summoning of you. Chance that a damned soul will take your place.

I'll talk about this Sect in a second. :P

Divine Sect:
LvL 15 - Vengeance - call 'vengeance' Does massive damage onto an anathema.
LvL 20 - Black Channel - Automatically Reduces mana need to cast spells
LvL 45 - Black Shroud - Automatic Makes sanctuary's white aura black aura, resists holy attacks, provides more protection

These three are good. Especially Black Channel.

Okay, now, speaking of the Black Sect. I think they are the weakest, in terms of powers given. They get two things regarding summoning. Why not combine the effects into one 'call'.. and give them another, actually useful, ability. Another thing... they get to eat corpses. So what? Necromancers and Anti-Paladins can both drain life from mobs to heal themselves, so is there really a huge advantage to it?

Maybe I'm just rambling.. but they seem to be the weakest.

Yes, the black sect is definately the weakest. Arcane is better than masters for good players. Necros & APs need to look to other cabals for pure power playing (unless someone wants a Lich Emperor w/ Emperor powers). n/t Someone 01:56:20 6/30/2000 (0)
