"Stupid ass jewells"? Can you think of an easier quest? How about, "collect five lamia collars"? Seriously, what still a rager said above about quests it totally true with Battle. I remember a number of quests that BoltThrower held for the village while I was a mortal. Not a lot of the other Cabals have this sort of interaction.

For not saying anything? What did you want them to say? They probably assumed you did like the scroll asked and sent BT a note.

Um...what? You mean to tell me that you couldn't take the 20 seconds to jot off a note to BoltThrower saying, "I have to work, won't be there at 3." (or in your case, 12)? What you do for your parents is between you and them; not sure of the relevance of that statement to this issue. I know that if I am going to miss a meeting at work, I call or e-mail telling the person who is holding the meeting that I won't be there. Or if I'm going to be late for something with my wife, same thing. Not saying that CF is work or marriage, but your analogy that letting people know you will be absent for something is "childish" just doesn't hold water with me.

If it got rid of people like you...

I don't think anyone asked you to skip work to MUD. And no one questioned the amount of time you spent on. I saw you on quite a bit when I was there. My suggestion to you (and it probably comes way too late) is to not start bitching on the forum about what happened. It won't solve anything, and just makes you look silly.

Look at it this way. Your character holds certain ideals. Those ideals are a result of everything that has happened to them over the course of their life. It just so happens that there is a group of people on the MUD who hold similiar ideals (the Village). Now, I ask you this. If there was no Village, wouldn't your character still have the same ideals, the same goals? If there was a Village, and you weren't in it, wouldn't you still hold true to your beliefs? If you were in the Village, and got kicked out, wouldn't you strive that much harder (assuming you feel strongly enough about your beliefs) to get back in, to prove yourself worthy of these high ideals? Or would you just delete?

Which of the above two people would you want standing by your side in a fight, the one who would delete, or the one who would make the attempt to get back in?

I can't say I would have done the same thing that BT did. But I certainly don't think that what he did was wrong, inappropriate or unfair.
