Conjuration was forbidden within the Sultan's city after some history with a fellow named Faruq. It's a long story - suffice it to say that Conjurers are currently forbidden to teach within the city gates.

How did the sultan escape Faruq anyway? He was taken away then the quest kinda died off too, no one rescuing him. Now he just suddenly re-appears? n/t Newsboy 08:36:21 6/30/2000 (3)
