Well, there are definate ways to get through the mazes, but unfortunatly, Nepenthe took away my shiny silver spoon...So I'll have to use my hand..

But in answer to your other question, yes, there are certain things that you can 'look' for in the mazes to point your direction to the villages.

First Maze:
if your going to the K'Sra village..look for; "something seems different about the swamp in this direction"
and if your going back to AoN, look for; "You think you see a trail"

Second Maze:
going to Sz'weh village; "You can barely see smoke rising out from the swamp in this direction"
going to K'sra; "You see a path"

I've known the path through for a while now, so I'm not sure if any of that has changed..but should be relativly the same. As for the third maze, it will be plainly obvious when you see it.
