I didn't really post this to critisize Ficorlae. Perhaps I should have come up with a better subject, but I was tirded, and bored out of my mind from Cf AND POS being down. I posted it more as a humerous log when he stepped out due to hunger. Secondly, it's very justifiable that a lowbie knows about cabals and some of the members and what not. Cabals are not secret organizations that nothing is known of til you have alot of experience in thw world. They are quite visable organizations that take an active part in defining the political structure of of the world. Considering the average age of a drow when they begin their carreer (game years) they've easily been around long enough to know what the cabals are, and some of it's members, especially one which hunts drow as a policy. Aside from that and the fact that I know OOC that Ficorlae is Sylvan, my char SAW ficorlae fighting before, and saw him use his powers. Even if I hadn't already know he was Sylvan, he would have been id'd as Sylvan at that point. As far as the "ruining a potential rp situation for the giant" that's bullshit. Drow are not stupid. A drow is not very likely to fall for the "you can't see me so I'm the spirit of the woods" trick as easily as a fire giant, who aslo (if you look) turned to Lifraul for confirmation if it was true or not. As a highly intelligent drow (even if young), who SAW Ficorlae in the woods just 5 minutes prior to this post, it's very easy to figure out that it's not a "spirit of the woods," which is highly unlikely, but rather a sylvan who didn't like us being there. This was all the more confirmed by the fact that he felt his guise was threathened when I first mentioned that it was either a ranger or sylvan, and probably Ficorlae, as idicated by "Shut it you." and slapping me. A powerful spirit of the woods would have no need to feel threatened that his guise would be discovered. He would simply have to make good on his threat of turning out guts inside out. There was much more RP between the giant and myself for about 20 minutes after this, consisting of the giant getting a bit embarassed for being fooled, and lifraul patronizing him for it. There wasn't an ounce of non-roleplay in this post. Biggest problem I can find with it is a poor choice of title. For that I appologise.
