when it comes down to it, what is often said when individuals have climbed an illusionary ladder to the top of CF is: "I am good at playing a game". Oh my, that will help you in life and in your future. Once we have conquered "the game", where does that leave us? I suppose in some ways, it affords us a sense of empowerment in societies where we are nothing more than part of the masses. CF offers a pinnacle for us to scale and to wave and flaunt our pennants and claims to being the best...at a game. When this game crashes or is no longer maintained, where does that leave the best of the best? Where do those accomplishments stand? Can they be placed on your life's resume, in the hope that at the end of your stay in this reality, it will have some meaning? I don't know. While I enjoy my willing suspension of disbelief as much as I enjoy some books or movies, I am left to wonder why someone would wish to proclaim I am the best...at a game. -A
