If you've successfully hidden, and have sneak on, you can definitely move while hidden. However, you can only do this is terrain conducive to hiding (roads, cities, etc.) In other places, you may be able to hide but not sneak (forests, etc.), or neither (water, etc.).

(I'd advise perfecting both skills ASAP. They're lifesavers, and they're very easy to practice.)
