Only if you're too lazy to carry potions, and not being able to go underwater can suck a bit.

Make up for it and more easily, there is no noticeable hp gain difference between 18 and 19 con for a mage.

As a master invoker you'd have tome to help with learning spells and while you can get a form of protection for vulnerable to blunt, the iron vulnerabilty you can't and it cuts you out on a lot of nicer equipment.
