The line that I found most interesting: "The reason we were denied is because we were both independently attacking everyone in sight with the exception of each other" Now, given SMUG's history, they know they're being watched. Why roll up a couple of mid-20s warriors, and run around PKing anything that moves? Those types of characters have been denied before. Some IMM then makes up a global echo about brains-to-pudding or hot lovin', and that is that. If Haak and friends had more depth than this, I didn't see it. If the players want to post an explanation, I'd certainly give it a read. Otherwise, based on first- and second-hand IC information, I tend to believe that they were just there to PK anyone who walked by. I agree with the other posters: Most of the SMUG people I've run into can roleplay, and well. But it's a "Hmm... I think I'll roleplay with this character. Later, I'll roll up a few useless random PKers." kind of roleplay. If Haak (etc.) was a useless PKer, and he got denied, I hardly see the controversy. As far as the site ban, that's usually what happens to repeat offenders, right? There are plenty of MUDs which are very happy to have skilled players who run around trying to kick as much as possible. Why play CF, where it's only going to earn you grief? Why not play a PK-only MUD?
