Cyradia mentioned remembering elbowing me in the computer lab over 4 years ago. Those were the good ol days, when heavily armored meant something, and an orcish sword was the godalmighty sword. Hell, getting to level 10 made us feel like gods. The multiple ass kickings of a third level character...(back when that was possible) it all was fresh and new. Now look at us three years later...Cyradia, by her own means has grown into the throne of immortality...and I...well...nevermind what I have done. I have just had a damn good time for the past 4 years. Know a good bit about basic game mechanics...where fair to middle of the road eq can be found....have been a member of a couple cabals, and heroed a handful of chars...but...I digress... I think the point all the imms are getting at in regards to permagrouping is this. Feel free to play with people from your own site. Just dont let it show. I remember nights where four or five of us would all sit in the computer lab of our dorm until the wee hours of the morning playing cf...often not more than 2 feet apart. We laughed, talked, bitched, moaned, joked, at times cried, and basically annoyed the hell out of all the other students that needed to actually do a paper or research...or whatever it is you do with a computer other than mud. But, we never let our characters act like that. If we would happen to group together, we would not talk about the game out loud, all communication about CF would be through roleplay. We could do it for one main reason...we didnt act like asses. To be honest, in many of my characters pasts I have roleplayed an extreme amount with people I knows players...the one key, pretend you dont know them. Act like they have nothing to do with your real life. Play, enjoy the game, dont take it personal. Roleplay...kill your pals, have a good time. And like someone listed below...Cf is tough...wear a helment. Alex
Jyken...we miss you.
