...Oh well. Looks like I won't have a chance to ridicule you about being kicked out of the Temple anymore. :-) Our fights and conversations were fun, I hope your next char is as deep as this one was. G'luck man. > For all of you know what that means, this is a goodbye letter for Thalen Nightbringer. > To simply state the reasons why I decided to delete Thalen is I was getting tired of the character. It's not because I got kicked from the Temple (go into that more at the end), but because I had falling into a rut of playing unlike I always play. I hadn't grouped in extremely long time (mostly because who likes en ex-scarab druid, eh?), I had an 85k hole to exploring, something I've wanted to do with a bunch of my characters yet didn't want to die (trust me, people, explore. There is SOOOO much better stuff out there no one is using). I also was getting tired of some of the environment I had created with Thalen (even though it was roleplayed, I'm so sick of fighting sylvans...especially wall of thorns + summon). I'm just generally tired of Thalen, and need a new character...because right now, CF is mentally lagging on me. > About druids (after reading Nepenthe's opinion and playing one a lot): > Druids are hands down the funniest class since the bards. Versatility doesn't even begin to explain the druids. Everything has use, stuff you learn before level 11, to everything to the end. About Call of the Wild, it was disappointing to somtimes explore really deep into an area and get "There are no animals here to hear your call." Besides that, it was fun to see all the different animals, but am still curious what the HELL is the point of the forest witch & white stag. About herbal foliage, it is one of the most ANNOYING skills in the game, for this reason. No other class has something they get, with no implication of what it will do. After playing Thalen for this long, I think I know for sure what 3 herbs do, while about 15 I have some idea, where the rest I have no fucking clue. Most of the effects you can't even notice, at all. The offensive ones are easy to notice, since your using them a lot (always wanted to find a thornheart one, but never did), but the others are very hard to tell. Like the curative ones, protective ones, and some utiliary ones. The only way to find out is test, yet when you find a herb and have an entire skill/sup list to go through, and you can't tell sometimes (since the mob won't tell you if entangle did more affect), it's REAL hard to test. Something would be nice, to an affect of "You feel more adapative to offensive supplications", which could cover them all, but only affect one. Second to lichs, (which can find out what phlacteries do :P), Druids are the best at this herb thing. Druids, all in all, are one of the best classes that I'm returning to, definately. > Now to the characters in Thalen's life: > Scarabaeus: > What can I say. This is my third attempt into the Temple (Hakar/Hatar/Hasar and Ivaides), and I made it, with something I told myself would be f-ing hard, but possible. Well, I did it, made the grade, then made one of the dumbest mistakes ever - I let my own judgements take over Thalen's. It's too bad I got kicked though, because it was mostly one of the things keeping Thalen in, because he was already getting tiring when you have no friends, etc. I also found it quite annoying that in the incident, you kept the "special project". Oh well, that's the way the cookie crumbles. As always, Scarabaeus, your the funniest to roleplay with, with Jullias coming a close second :) Next time, I'll remember not to be disrespectful :) > Cyradia: > What's to say. I've hated you with every character I've met with you, hands down. Maybe it's the attitude, maybe it's just you, but hey, you can't expect much. I always tried distant relationships because I know our conversations would end in flames. > Cirianna: > Your lucky *smirks* It was very fun to roleplay with you, and well, I know from seeing it from Thalen's view point, that out of the two, it's sad I had to go. Gain some confidence with the character and don't die so much. It was indeed fun, but just disappointing in the end how I got chosen. Until we meet again....impatience...*wink* > Vrain: > Always been a friend, and all I can say is, we'll meet again. Good luck on the Flame position and soon you'll realize what it's like to be one of the Temple. (smile) > Zepachu: > The only imperial that actually talked with me (and was on as much). It's fun to actually talk with an imperial, when the rest were either hunting me, or on quiet mode (I think that is pathetic). Good luck on the public image, eh? > To all sylvans: > Flontinot, it was damn fun talking with you, and NO I don't have any cookies :) Delanan, your the most annoying guy ever, I sware. One on one, you'd go down, but you caught me once to summoning in wall of thorns too many damn times. Sad also, I agreed to not to fully hunt the Sylvans after speaking with Flontinot, and after that, you come after me saying I grouped with Cirianna, MY CABAL MATE. The felar ranger (name isn't coming to mind), it was fun and even hilarous how you get your Expert at Idiocy title. Hint: Don't even tell Scarbaeus : "This is none of your business, Bag O Bones" > To Masters: > Interesting interaction, for the most part, because a lot were friends, and others complete enemies because of me being a druid. Hifflio, it was fun to interact, yet I saw you once, and that's pathetic. Unless there is some reason, I played a LOT, and never saw you. Now I know why I hardly ever join Masters...hate waiting. > Arbiters: > You exist? > Entropy: > heh, fun as always. You know who I'm talking about. > Dawn: > Fun interaction. Surprising most of you would like to talk, over just blind killing (cough - never found one maran). It was fun indeed. > To the immortals: > Great interaction, besides the one I talked about with meing losing "ghost". I said "ghost form" and you called me a complete newbie. I'm hardly a newbie, and don't need shit from Imms that seem to just be having a bad day. > Well, it was fun. The 2nd ever Druid Scarab, and man was that hard to pull off, not having much to work off, but I'd say, short of about 3 other characters, Thalen was one of the funniest ever. Until then, I'll see you all in the fields. > Farewell, > Thalen Nightbringer, Initate of the Great Wild Beast > Ipsisimus/Aether
