Just a few lil questions. I am now playing a shield oriented paladin, but have a few questions about their abilities.

1. Is it normal for the shield skills to be so darn hard to practice...have had shield jab for 8 levels and it has only gone up 3 times...and I tank everything.

2. Are the 3 (4 counting shield mastery) the only shield skills there are? Or do mote show up as the others are mastered?

4. Any advice on how to practice said skills? It does seem that they dont increase all that fast. *understatement*

I know the answer to both of these questions : "Just play and find out for yourself, Damnit!" But the problem I face is this. I work all day, deal with my family and friends after work, and can only play in the late evening, leaving me only a brief few hours of playing time. I basically want to make sure I am keeping in touch with what I need to be doing.

I also want to thank the imms for the changes. I used to play paladins every now and then, but was pretty unimpressed by thier ability to fight. At low levels they were mediocre tanks at best, and could at times to a bit of damage through flamestrike/wrath ect. But nothing that an AP or Warrior couldnt do. They were more effective for the roleplay aspect of the game. But now, with the choices allowed to the player, the interesting skills, effects. The ability to hit hard, or tank like a madman makes the paladin a pure joy to party with. Granted I have only fought one other player...and basically had my ass handed to me. But DAMNIT thats not the point...it feels good to be worth damn as far as a warrior, and a healer.

Heck...I get more enjoyment killing mobs than I do killing players anyway.

But damn...shieldspec paladins can tank like a brick shithouse!

tanks,

Al
