Dawn is NOT a non-aggressive cabal WHEN they have free time on their hands. That is to say, if they're not actively saving someone or being asked for help they can do (puts on best Denis Leary impersonator's voice) WHATEVER THE HEEEEEEEEELLLLL THEY WANT, short of gang-raping Balator orphans or other things that are not very lightwalker-like. Selric once said, and I've posted it on the forum before, that Servants do not have to be shields, nor are they likely to be axes, they're best represented by the staff...a terrific defensive weapon, but also one that can be used effectively for offensive purposes. (paraphrased from when I was trying to play an "axe" servant as Mhodinrin the seething aggro conjurer servant(see log board search for logs)). Now you see Imperials, there is no use in whining. The Dawnie dogma is not as strict as an Imperial's or Arbiter's or even that of Ragers. They're there to spread hope and faith. To me it's QUITE EASY to see how bashing in your goddamed heads would make the common folk of Balator, or Hamsah, or hell...ALL OF THERA sleep a little easier and have greater faith that the day will come when there are only lightwalkers and all is peaches and cream and fluffy bunnies dancing at the edge of a glorious rainbow. It's like this, and again, this has been said before by other IMMS and quite possibly other VIPS as well. If you're a Servant and you're bashing the shit out of an Imperial and the Imperial is convulsing on the ground and ready to die from your next attack that causes a "scratch" and you get a tell from some newbie lightwalker that needs help, you have to stop what you're doing and go help, even if the death of the Imperial is guaranteed in another round or two. That point concedes the fact that hope and faith are better spread using non-combat techniques such as the daring rescue or the good faith show of support for a starving duergar anti-paladin of Scarabaeus, but it doesn't detract from the fact that killing your stinking evil ass doesn't help a little as well. And besides, it's not like killing the goddam phoenix and looting the freaking pit is all that difficult to do.
