Flurry attacks get through more often. Flurry with dual wielded swords = 8 attacks, Flurry with one sword = 2 attacks. The thing with Flurry is.. you've seen the logs where it says..

Blah partially evades your flurry, but you still hit!
Your flurry attack EVISCERATES blah.

And you see that 2-8 times, depending on swords wielded and other factors.

With owaza the chances of it working SIGNIFICANTLY rise as your opponent gets weaker. It's somewhat foolish to use on anyone above gushing, and even then it's risky. You get five strikes in a full owaza attack, but at any given strike the opponent has a chance of evading your attacking, just like as in flurry. The only difference is, flurry continues.. owaza doesn't. If you land two out of five strikes, and then they slip away on the third.. that's it. It can't be used the same way flurry can. Also, you cannot flee during an owaza attack.

Once you initiate an owaza it says..

You begin for a major technique.
(two round lag)

a) You cannot find an opening for a major technique.

OR

b) attack #1/5, attack #2/5, etc..

So in all it's about three rounds until you can even think about fleeing once you type in that owaza command.

Another tidbit, it sucks if you get bashed or something once you type in owaza...

example: owaza, 1 round passes, the next round you would attempt an owaza BUT you get bashed... so then there's a 1-3 round lag, then another round (attempt owaza round), then you can flee..

So potentially you can get screwed for 6 rounds...

It's a RISKY skill, but its really powerful if you know when to use it and who to use it against.. :) I won't give that away.

> > As a Felar Assassin, I would carry around some fly potions, so essentially making me an Arial in times of need. Assassins can't bash, only trip, so most of the time an assassin vs assassin fight, no one dies.. unless the other is really stupid. You can always get away. Kicks are largely avoided, and stuff like that. Owaza, on the other hand, is like a little secret up your sleeve. I've used owaza at "gushing" and hit for EVISCERATES EVISCERATES *** DEM *** *** DEM *** EVISCERATES in the series.. then again I did practice owaza a bit.

> > The good thing about owaza is that you can deal out a good 200-400 points of damage, and they don't see it coming..

> From what you wrote here you used it like flurry (though you can flee between flurry attacks, I dunno if you can flee between owaza attacks). Look at all those sword specs. Flurry was like the only skill Minalcar used. I don't see why assassins don't use owaza as often as sword specs use flurry. If they do, why don't I see any logs?
