And things happen when you do things the right way.

As it turns out, the arbiter who flagged you had had his password hacked; your note of complaint arrived about 10 minutes before his note informing us of this. Logs backed up the hack-story, and the character in question has been deleted.

Just a reminder, folks; do not choose stupid passwords like "password", "carrion", "carrionfields", or the name of the character... and never, never never under any circumstances give your password out to someone who is asking for it. Immortals do not ask for your password, ever, so don't tell it to people who claim to be an imm's mort. Furthermore, don't write it in a 'note to immortal' when you're writing to say that your p-file has been corrupted; we don't need it, don't want it, and don't care to see it.

Along those lines, don't give your password to anyone *intentionally* either. If it is discovered that a person other than the original player is now running a character, the steps taken to correct the situation will likely be harsh. If you're wondering why, think about it; this other person cannot possibly know the interactions that you've had with the character, who you've grouped with, made friends/enemies of, bought drinks for, etc. They are a stranger walking around in this char's body... and in a RP-mandatory mud, that's no good.

This rant has been brought to you by the letter 'Q'.
