1. Firstly you'll be dead with all the mithril weapons out there. They are easy to get.

2. Hit points sucks. See above about being dead fast.

3. Can bash well enough to hold down your opponent. Giants and duergars are better bashers because of strength.

4. Can't dual wield heavy hitting weapons well.

5. 500 exp disadvantage is a lot. You need hit points instead to hold your ground against many of higher ranks than you.

Conclusion : you'll be dead fast before you even get to your twentieth rank.
