Seeing the threads below about IMM surveilance, I'm having a bit of trouble understanding how someone could play a sphere deception character with any real success in a cabal other than Empire. Most of the other cabals don't encourage vying for power, or backstabbing fellow cabalmates. It just seems like, if you're deviating from the restrictions of the cabal, even if no player sees you an IMM is bound to at some point and beat you up.

I guess what I'm getting at is this: is it possible to be deceptive while still avoiding getting beat up for it?
