I hate to say it, but that's a pretty long note and I'm not sure I'd read it either. As a leader, I'd want only to know you were interested in joining the cabal. All the details of your life and what not I'd rather get through actual interaction with your character. With a note that long, it looks like you blew your entire proverbial wad on the note and are trying to simply forgo the interview process. This probably isn't the case, and there's probably a lot more to your character to hear about. That's just not what it looks like at a glance.
