Do not expect to go on rampant PKing spree's with your healer, it won't happen. In a straight up fight, with most warrior classes, > I want to roll a Storm Healer. Given up the whole Maran thing due to lack of response on my last question (which I took to mean it was a bad idea) I'm looking through all the skills and communes of a healer and I don't see anything in the area of offense. They have an assload of protective ablilities so I could take a lot of damage but I see no way to actually inflict damage other than the primary weapon (mace, flail, staff). Yes I know, I'm a healer, I'm supposed to HEAL, but for the purpose of defense and ranking can any healers out there give me some insight on how you guy survive. Or are some the communes offensive and I just missed it? Thanks
you will probably be able to win, but also, they will probably get away. I've had a few exceptions to this rule, due to my being a Warder, but, you really have to be in the hang of your character to PK anyone. I killed Gharik in town, with arbiters after me, only because they couldn't wear me down.
I killed Vitellius in the mouth, with 4 arbiters and 8 arbiter guards in there, twice. The whole of your ability to PK will be finding a way to keep people in a fight for a long time. A healer isn't geared for solo killing, nor should it be played that way. You will only truly excel in large groups. When you get a PK, be happy, but don't expect it. If your healer has a reason to kill, don't be afraid to do so, or even gear for it, but remember that your true purpose is probably to heal.
