Let's see. Everyone's played a Dawnite now and they're looking for a change.

Ragers haven't had a leader who is on often, or at least during peak hours, and inducts for a while.

Ditto for Masters. I think I can count 5 masters who even still log in once a day. And that may be generous.

Arbiters are a thankless job that most people would never want.

Entropy is just plain hard to get into for most people and basically if you're not willing to be totally silly all the time or put up with random inductions/uninductions it's not worth it.

That leaves Sylvans and Empire as viable cabals if you just want to make a guy and get into a cabal without waiting for a change of leadership/miracle.

Sylvans, while a great choice, don't take half the classes that exist (including the two most popular I think, warrior and assassin) and most people like/need cities.

That leaves Empire, with multiple people who can bloodoath you and two people who can induct you, depending on your class, (one of whom who logs on a whole lot lately.)

Here's my personal example. I rolled up a mage three weeks ago, and decided to get into masters no matter how hard it was. So 130+ hours of play time later, all my spells pre 20 mastered, can't adventure, all my pre-leader interviews done and just waiting for Jafel to show up I start to get REAL bored. "Hey look, there's a new Emperor, and a War Master."

Created a new guy, 2 hours later level 11 and bloodoathed and 6 hours old and I'm 16th level and inducted. The extent of my induction interview was 3 questions, one of them was yes/no. Now i have a character that can actually do stuff outside his guild, has cabal powers, and has a purpose in life OTHER then sitting on my ass waiting for a leader.

Now, I'm not saying all the cabals should be that easy, but come on 130 hours (probably 80 of it sitting at 19th and 20th level) is just plain stupid. On the plus side I think my next character will be a priest of some type, I figure after 130 hours of waiting I can do Empowerment sitting on my head. I'm thinking a druid (grins evilly at his Imperial Friends.)

Until then, Go Empire!
