Size makes a difference when you are using weapons. With maces for example. The Cranial skill, is where the wielder swings his mace down on the top of the skull of his/her opponent. Now, if you are a giant, swinging a big hammer on a gnomes head, that should be easier than say a gnome, doing it to a giant. And as far as I've seen, cranial does work better the bigger you are.
