I don't share that opinion.

Some cabals have more people that induct than others. Others don't. Sometimes this depends on the design of the cabal, and other times it depends on there being a number greater than zero who are trusted to do a decent job.

I think that's a little extreme.

It's entirely possible you were being ignored on purpose, in my experience. Maybe the leader has heard bad things about you. Maybe they're turned off by bad spelling and grammar. You never really know. Spending time talking to other people in the cabal and getting them to at least vouch to the leader that you're not a complete idiot is usually a good start if you have trouble finding the leader.
