> I got to 40 with relatively no problem w/o using a citified area. After that, I have to agree, it sucks. A lot. If I'd have been a cloud ranger, I could have killed elite storms, I guess, but I was good aligned, so that was out. A good aligned felar ranger is, IMHO, fucked if they want to level from 40 to 51.

> From 40 to 51, I went to Shadar Logoth some, and Aridhol some, but I was almost militant about resting outside. When I couldn't find groups, I'd go in and attack pikemen/trollocs and lead them out into wilderness and fight them solo there. Even with groups, if they were relatively weak and needed me to tank, I'd insist on doing the 'track-em' out thing. Was it slow? Yep. But I did it.

> However, notice that in my post I said I got sick of 30ish level rangers who applied and didn't have fastcamo and fastcreep. That means they couldn't even be bothered to level up in FoN, Trolls, or other, more obscure forest areas. They basically went wherever a group wanted them to, including city areas and/or inside areas.

Preaching to the choir as I said before.

> As for your assertion that of the 71 hours you've been on, 67 have been in a wilderness, and you don't have fastcamo/fastcreep: I don't believe you. Also, keep in mind that we're not talking about real-life time spent in places, we're talking mud-time. That means ticks. So for each tick you are in a non-wilderness area, you're kicking your own ass. With Malaglen, walking down eastern road was kinda like running over hot coals. I wanted to get it over with and get back into the nice cool grass. I'd actually think "doh!" each time I saw something like "You are hungry." when I was running down eastern, because I knew that meant "1 tick out of forests".

You don't have to believe me for it to be true. Since it is accurate to within minutes because I kept track, I will assert it's true regardless. :) Also, Malaglen had to be "religious" about his aversion to civilized lands. From my perspective, that is what it appears to take for any ranger. One that is roleplayed to go to town once a month to tie one on and replenish supplies and ends up back in the woods having forgotten what he's learned is a bit unrealistic don't you think?

> I'd like to help and give out a list of areas you can go to, for levelling from 30-40, but I think some people would be pissed off about that. ("Hey! You just ruined all the good levelling spots!") However, if we're talking about the same area (where you can't camo), I'll just say that it is, indeed, wilderness. You can chameleon there.

I know them and have used them with other char's, but there is a good reason most characters won't go near the place. And now especially with a sudden overabundance of you know whats at 30's rank. So to the Arial City we went for 2 hours. Two of the four infamous hours.
The facts.
I perfected camo early. I perfected creep early. I enjoyed no lag for 13 ranks. Waylay is nearly there, but ain't perfected. 2 hours in the arial city and camo lags and creep fails (without lag).

Also, perfected waylay has never lagged on me, as far as I can recall.
