I've played another mud (I know, I'm a blasphemor) This mud is based out of russia and is modled on Kryyn (Dragonlance T.S.R) in anycase, in this mud...they had mounts..you had to pay a pretty penny for them, but you could purchase a pony, stallion or warhorse, have them as followers (aka mercs) and mount them. Mounting would cut off your mv points and in battle the mount would add a modifier and even take some damage for you. Now .... In all fantasy/ medieval age stories and times horses played a huge role..the historical refrences alone are numerous. Why is it that Thera has no horses to mount? The question has been presented before I'm sure, but is there a logical reason why were not all travelling down the Eastern Road on horseback?
I'm not sure if everyone's aware, but...just about everything is possible if coded properly. Nepenthe, Poetry, (spheremaker)aka Scarabaeus...have shown the such (though I'm sure I've forgotten a few mentionables...oh! Such as Galadriel..) anyways...and mind you I'm 4 beers (canadian) to the wind right now....
