> 2) People are afraid to put time and effort into 'risk' chars such as paladins. This is because they fear they could be unempowered (Betrayer flag) for something small. paladins are supposed to be an elite class. yeah sucks to fuck > 4) Alot of people dont seem to complete characters, they level up a bit, spend time practising, die and delete, then repeat thats just because i'm a weak willed bastard.. > 5) The mud has too many street trash vermin that for some reason seem to play just to get eq. don't fight in town it's that easy, encourages people to take their fights out of densely populated areas. > 6) The problem with getting into cabals is always about time, should be about effort You can contribute to a cabal whilst not being in it. > 7) Cf can get so boring at times when your still levelling up. other means of changing this are just too complicated and require quests and the likes (ie reducing exp required but putting in limits to how far you can go etc) > 8) Dawn is a stupid cabal, it seems to have no purpose people should start acting as dawn intended a bit more, rather than trying to play dawn AS knights. > 9) Cabal choice is so unven, not many people are encouraged to apply for entropy and scarab. entropy yes, they just have zero induction rate especially because you have to match a stupid imms rp(his character not the imm) with your rp which is why you only see chaotic-stupid arsehole. it's easier that way
they require the greatest effort (as they should) infringements on paladin RP is never small , no matter what you do it is not paladiny...doing something wrong briefly then atoning for it i imagine is totally cool, doing something for a duration is not (failed to see what you've done, bad paladin etc)
> 3) People are forced to spend way too much time practising skills and or spells. Because if they dont, they seriously will be at a disadvantage.
invokers are death
there is no skill or concious thought required, there is no genuine "learning from mistakes" it's just fucking begging to be botted. It lacks original thought..
My view is that people don't see cabals as they really should, as part of their life path.. masters is the only problem case with the "must be inducted before 20".
Take battle for example, i never saw aniedra but because i'd proven myself utterly willing for the cause i was inducted by a.n.other (not saying so as to not get the poor guy drowned with tells - i'm also ashamed that i didn't repay his effort with more of my own, but to be frank my character stank.)
Scarabs just require more from you and in my eyes the rp is hypocritical so i couldn't really ever play one (i see too many flaws in the beliefs)
> 10) Arbiters turn people into wimps, because you cant stand up to hero guards unless your hero. I hate this. Plus, why should there be only 1 punishment (Death) for all crimes.
arbiters still make all manner of fuck ups with the relatively easy system there is in place..though someone did suggest previous good suggestions (OUTCAST) (WANTED) (something else)
