I hate this so called line of "reasoning":

Just because something is PK-based (it's not all PK-based, actually... complaints about getting into cabals or empowerment are far from pure-PK concerns) doesn't mean it's any less valid.

This is a PK mud. It's a PK mud where roleplaying is mandatory. But you're deluding yourself if you don't think that just as much, if not more, time is spent discussing game balance issues as is spent fostering roleplaying. Both are equally important, but to say that a post is worthless because "oh, he's just a PKer" is silly. It's only natural that most of the suggestions are going to be PK-related... roleplay is more in the hands of the players, and always has been. Such things as empowerment, and very notably, the role command, have of course done a great job fostering increased roleplay.... but for the most part the players define the level and manner of roleplay that occurs. On the other hand, they are subject to the structure of mechanics imposed by the immortals, and thus having less of a direct part in the matter, are going to have more suggestions to offer.

Now, I don't agree with most of Arolin's points (I've argued the no-corpse-looting-for-3-ticks with him more than once on IRC in months past, among others), but rejecting them because they aren't dedicated to improving roleplay, or because you think the player doesn't care about roleplay, is bullshit.
