And you can do this will sticking in Imperial RP. Limit your teaching to your own sect. Since at the end of the day, the sect is made stronger. You have friends/buddies/people whos level of competency you now know. You also don't give them all your knowledge just some so that you know everything they know but they don't know everything you do.

With the sect being stronger and the members in it being indebted to you, you can then make a move to running your sect. All for the price of making yourself stronger.
