While sure, it sucks for the one that died, I can't say as I see anything wrong with what happened from an IC standpoint (judging by this log). In the real world, people tend to believe their own eyes, even if there is a good reason why they maybe shouldn't. Why does someone have to behave differently on CF? Besides, does Maella's character know about dopple first hand? Maybe shes read in a book in the Hall that Barons can do this, but has never seen it. Or even so, I admit that when I was an Arbiter, and I heard a clear true yell in town, I'd make them wanted. Its pretty darned good evidence, with vigilance... There might have been more of an investigation if he hadn't told the Arbiter he was standing on the north road... keep in mind you're talking to a necromancer also. While they have to follow the laws, there's nothing saying they have to be courteous, and the laws are open to intrepretation (by the players... intrepretation IC is an enitrely different topic), else there couldn't be Arbiters of all different alignments and roleplays. It looks to me like you should be mad at the Baron that signed your death warrant, quite deliberatly it looks like. Doppled you, then ran straight to Galadon and broke a law. If a Baron couldn't trick an Arbiter with some thought, and their powers, what would be the point of being a Baron? I don't think it would be much fun if Arbiters had a counter to everything the enemy could do. Someone in another post complained that there was no reason a low-level person like that would attack a guild guard, therefore the flag makes no sense... think from an Arbiters point of view - there's no good reason to break any law, its probably seems just as illogical to them as any other crime... who knows what those criminals are thinking anyway, right? As far as the equipment, if thats what you're mad about, Arbiters are REQUIRED to keep weapons every time. All the rest of the equipment is up to the Arbiter in question, of which she returned all of it to you. I think the moral of the story here is... well, maybe there isn't a moral. Don't get doppled, don't walk up to an Arbiter while flagged and ask to talk, and don't spit into the wind. Oh, and don't die either. And while you're at it... well, never mind.
