Start with either a warrior or a thief to get the basics of PKing down. For warrrior..go with something with a bit more defence, arial sword, human/giant polearm, or felar spear/staff. These three combos give you good defensive capabilities so you can at least last in a PK situation when you havn't got it down yet. They also all do good damage which will allow you to kill the target easier. With these combos you will want to experiment alot to decide what you want to do in a fight, such as entrap first, then chop once or twice and finish with some leg sweeps. Just basic stratagies. Then compare when it works to when it doesn't work, and make sure to log the fights. Afterwards, look through the log and check where it all fell apart. Did you loose your weapon? or loose dex? or was the lagging attacks screwing you? did they dodge too much? etc. Also, look at the logs where you felt you did extreemly well, and try to do what you did there on other people. See what race or class it works with best, and do more comparing on where things fell apart, and where they worked best.
As a thief, I'd say human or Arial to start. Humans are always all around nice, and arials with thier fly and high dex make them a good choice as well. Also, you may want to choose gnome, since you will be able to pump lots of trains into hp and those will help you in your low rank pk adventures alot. But as a gnome, you can't black jack giants or backstab them. As for how to play..pretty much same as warriors..try different tactics and see which works best when by comparing them and what not.
After you feel you have got a fair grasp of how to PK wither or both thief and warrior, try making an assassin. As an assassin you will find a lot more things that will decide the way a battle ends. You have so many options to use as an assassin such as -dex and -str and -con etc skills. And you can test out which ones best work with eact race/class by doing the same things (comparing and trying out new strats etc.)
If you want to get a grasp on PKing with Mage characters, try out an AP or maybe a necro. But keep in mind, you are a shit tank with both of these classes. As an AP, you only win by hitting them hard and fast. You want high dam and hit at all times, or you wont last very long in the fights. Test out with these chars with your mal adicts and blah blah balh, same as above.
Hope this helped.
