Rot all depends on your con, a elf is gonna die pretty fast most of the time, but rot is used in a situation where you know your fucked, and you want to kill the guy with a cheap attack/flee combination then get your ass outta there, it doesnt kill all the time and anyone with half a brain can defend against it.
