> I wouldnt use my rank 26 warrior to have revange, but sometimes you get pissed when someone kills you, and you dont want to play anymore that day. but you have 3 more hours to play, so I use any other char, to waste my time. Kind of avoiding afterdeath reequiping pain.

That's somewhat justified in my book, I suppose. It seems you have a lot of time on your hands to play, as do I. I just see the advantage of playing 8 hours a day on one character over playing 3 3 2, or something. I could see the appeal for it, though.

> > 2) At least one of them is suffering... If you can roleplay that well having seven characters, imagine what you could do by putting that energy into one?

> Ok I have to agree some of that chars I just dont use them a lot say like 3 hours a week. I just think that maybe some months from now, I will think: "hey I want to make a transmutter, shit if I hadnt deleted my rank 19 all spells mastered trans i would have saved some time".

> And the ones I use I have lots of fun with them, and I do roleplay with them, great roleplay...

Yeah but I'm sure you can also see the problem by keeping a char around, making them not auto-delete, and then when you get bored looking at your list and saying, "Oh well I can start out at this level 19 transie instead of starting all over"... What if you don't go back to it for three months or so, but had already invested let's say 25 hours in it? You're "out of touch" as to what's been going on. But hey, that could be a great RP tool too.

> > 3) You're very susceptible to the "No One Suitable, So I Logoff And Play Another Character" disease. What if you go on your 31 anti-paladin and see only Ragers in your PK range? Oh, no problem, just go on your 26 warrior Rager hopeful... Plenty to group with.

> Ok I maybe done some of this... but hey if my rank 23 trans is logged for one hour, and I cant find any group, is it a crime to log with another char?
> I never log less than 40min, unless to avoid autodelete.

Ah if you're logged on fo an hour, can't find a group, then logoff and login another char... I suppose that's somewhat "separating" the characters, since you didn't just pop in and then pop out. I guess, though, I always used those times to practice, or to rank on my own. I rank on my own... a lot.

I think it would be better in the long run if you deleted some and didn't just keep them around, on the back burner. Besides, it seems you have plenty of time to invest... why waste it making half-developed characters, "just in case" to fall back on. If anything, have 2-3 level 40s floating around...

Lots of luck to ya.

Zep.
